Jay among other artists such as Rihana, Fat Joe and Shakira work under the roof of Roc Nation with Desiree Perez as the top executive.

In 2008, Jay signed a massive ten year deal with Live Nation worth 150 million, however as the deal is coming to an end speculations are that Jay sounds out for other interested music industry firms to take a share in his recorded music business at Roc Nation. Rumors are that the deal between Jay and the Live Nation may be extended. Desiree Perez and Jay have made meetings with Sir Lucian Grainge, chairman, and CEO of Universal Music Group (UMG), discussing whether it could take a bigger stake at Roc Nation having a distribution deal with Roc Nation initially.
